This is the Murphy Family Cook Book - a private recipe collection for our family. Here's how we handle your information:

• Recipes: Any recipes you add to the cookbook
• Meal Plans: Your household's meal planning data
• Usage Analytics: Basic site usage data (pages visited, general usage patterns) through Matomo analytics

Who Can See Your Data

• Recipes: Publicly viewable (no login required to browse recipes)
• Meal Plans: Shared only with your household members
• Account Info: Only visible to site administrators (Dad)

Third-Party Services

We use a couple of external services to make the site work better:

• Matomo Analytics: Self-hosted analytics to understand how the site is used (no data shared with third parties)
• Claude AI: Used to generate beverage pairing suggestions for recipes (recipe titles and ingredients are sent to generate suggestions)

Data Storage & Security

• All data is stored securely on our web server
• The site uses HTTPS encryption for all connections
• Regular backups are performed to prevent data loss
• Only family members can create accounts
