Ingredients
- ½ cup Butter
- ½ cup Sugar
- ¼ cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- ⅔ cup Flour
- ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Cinnamon Ground
- ⅛ teaspoon Nutmeg Ground
- 1 ½ cups Quick-cooking Rolled Oats
- 6 ounces Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
Instructions

1Cream butter until soft.

2Add granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla.

3Beat until light and fluffy.

4Blend in flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

5Stir in oats and chocolate chips.

6Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.

7Space cookies about 2 inches apart.

8Bake at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, or until lightly browned.

9Let cookies cool on the sheet for 1–2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
